Each print is made by hand and uses the sun to expose the images onto the paper. Because of this, no two prints will be identical and each will have its own unique qualities, which is a big reason why cyanotype is so cool!
DESIGN
Cyanotype is an art process that uses UV light and physical objects to block the light. Anywhere that the light is blocked will be left white and anywhere that lets the light through will be exposed and turn a deep cyan blue. Our discofish cyanotype prints utilize photo negatives to block the sunlight, leaving a bright blue image exposed into the paper. Cyanotype is a cool blend of science and art and leaves each individual print beautifully unique!
